BIMS Board Meeting and Etiquette Dinner

On Sept. 29, 2016, 56 people attended the BIMS Board etiquette dinner at Christopher’s World Grille. Attendees learned proper manners and social skills at the dinner table that could also be translated into the professional business environment. Randi Mays-Knapp, a social skill, etiquette, and leadership coach, was the guest speaker of the evening.

The following morning, Sept. 30, biomedical sciences (BIMS) faculty, staff, and students met for a tour of the new Veterinary Biomedical Education Complex (VBEC) at the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences (CVM). The tour began at 8 a.m. and the meeting began at 9 a.m. in the VBEC building.

Presentations and topics covered at the meeting included BIMS Board scholarship recipients, BIMS 100 for 100 years letter, study abroad initiatives at the CVM, and several other topics.

New BIMS Board members were welcomed, as well as the incoming president, Dr. Anna Whitling.
