Biography

"My position as a clinical faculty member allows me to pair my love of clinical medicine with my passion for teaching. The majority of my time is dedicated to clinical service on the Small Animal Internal Medicine Service. Through this, I am responsible for the diagnostics and care of a large number of cats and dogs with a broad range of medical disorders. Running the Internal Medicine Service allows me to apply my specialty training to complicated cases, while simultaneously using these cases to teach students, interns, and residents. What I enjoy most is case-based clinical teaching. I have practiced veterinary medicine at academic institutions and in private specialty practice, which gives me a unique perspective that I can share with my students. I also take every opportunity that is offered to me to teach didactically and in labs, as these are also means of sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm with veterinary students and practicing veterinarians."
