Welcome to the Green Vets Website!
Green Vet’s purpose is the conservation of animals and their habitats.
We strive to achieve this goal by educating members about global conservation issues and related Texas A&M research and working locally to use resources more efficiently.
Why you should join
Green Vets is not only for those interested in careers in conservation medicine; we want to equip all veterinarians to educate their clients and the public about environmental issues, endangered species and breeds, and how to live green.
This year we hope to include a trip, a wet lab, and lectures from A&M faculty involved in conservation genetics.
- Establishing a recycling program at the CVM
- Getting double-sided printers in the CVM computer labs to reduce paper consumption
- Planting and maintaining a garden for students to enjoy
- Supporting the main campus “Go Green” movement
