• Externships tailored to your clinical interests – from GP to ER , Large Animal, Exotics and specialty, with options in many locations.
• Structured Mentorship designed to support you through your transition from student to doctor – including clinical, surgical, and communication coaching. Ask about our Regional Doctor Mentors and Viticus Surgery Program!
• Rotating Internships that provide broad exposure in medicine, surgery, and emergency
• ER Academy programs focused on preparing new graduates for high-paced emergency practice
• Residency Pathways through both university-affiliated programs and in-clinic residencies within Thrive hospitals, developed in partnership with specialty teams across the country
These programs are designed to give you a strong foundation – whether you’re exploring career options or ready to commit to a focused path.
We’re always looking for externs who are engaged, curious, and ready to learn. You don’t need to have it all figured out – we’ll work with you to create an experience that fits your goals and provides insight into life as a practicing DVM.
