Mission

The purpose of the Texas A&M Student Chapter of the Association of Shelter Veterinarians (SCASV) (Shelter Vets) is to promote spay and neuter services to combat pet overpopulation, stronger relationships between veterinarians and animal welfare organizations, and the health and well-being of animals and people through public awareness and client communication.

National Organization

Association of Shelter Veterinarians (ASV): As an advocate for the profession of shelter veterinary medicine, the Association’s mission is to advance the practice of shelter medicine and to further veterinary education and research as it relates to animals’ health in shelters.
