Feline Veterinary Medical Association (SCFVMA)

Texas A&M Student Chapter of the Feline Veterinary Medical Association (SCFVMA)

Mission

The mission of the Texas A&M Student Chapter of the Feline Veterinary Medical Association (SCFVMA) (or Cat Club) is to provide in-depth information on feline issues through meetings, organize and plan trips that enhance student knowledge and experience with feline medicine, and be a source of this unique knowledge at Texas A&M. Our efforts will promote awareness of the medical, behavioral, and surgical issues unique to cats.

Why should you join SCFVMA?

Even if you don’t plan on practicing with felines exclusively, if you plan to be in small animal practice, cat owners will provide a growing number of your clientele base as they have become the nation’s most popular pets! The coordinated activities and speakers are geared to benefit anyone with an interest in learning more about our feline friends.

National Organization

The Feline Veterinary Medical Association (FelineVMA), formerly the American Association of Feline Practitioners, supports its members in improving the health and well-being of cats through high standards of practice, continuing education, and evidence-based medicine.
