Welcome to the Texas A&M University Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior! Our organization strives to facilitate understanding of applied animal behavior through collaborative, scientific efforts that foster compassionate and respectful interactions with animals among the veterinary students and faculty of Texas A&M University. SCAVSAB provides various opportunities in order to educate individuals on behavioral issues related to companion, domestic, and exotic species. Our main objective is to promote the welfare of all animals through an understanding of behavioral concepts prevalent in the veterinary medical profession.

An understanding of animal behavior is paramount in being a successful veterinarian, pet owner, or animal welfare advocate. That being said, it is often one of the least understood aspects of veterinary medicine. Through education and awareness, our organization hopes to improve the the understanding of animal behavior for everyone!!
