Schubot Center Mini-Grants 2023 Recipients

We are thrilled to unveil the winners of the Avian Research Mini-Grants and Avian Research Travel Grants, generously bestowed by the Schubot Center.

The Avian Research Mini-Grant, offering up to $2,500 per recipient, has been awarded to members of the Schubot Center, dedicated to advancing avian research in the areas of health, conservation, genetics, behavior, and related fields. This grant was designed to help facilitate data collection, thus enabling the recipients to conduct their groundbreaking research in avian studies.

Similarly, the Avian Research Travel Grants, offering up to $1,000 per recipient, are intended to support Schubot Center members in their travels to engage in workshops, specialized laboratories or field stations, expand collaborative networks, and/or disseminate Texas A&M avian research findings at conferences in the areas of avian health, conservation, genetics, animal behavior, or related fields.

This year, we are proud to recognize eight outstanding recipients for the 2023 Research Mini-Grant, and four recipients for the 2023 Travel Award. These exceptional individuals hail from diverse departments, displaying the broad range of talents and interests within the Schubot Center group. They represent a variety of academic levels, including faculty, assistant research scientists, MS students, and undergraduates, all part of the Texas A&M University system.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the winners of our awards.
