Silky was a gorgeous black Labrador Retriever from San Antonio. He came to the center in September of 2012 with his housemate, Blackie, who is a blind cat. Silky was the sweetest boy you could ever imagine. He was a proverbial gentle giant. Everyone who ever met Silky fell in love with him. Silky taught us all lessons on how to thrive when there are obstacles to overcome. There is a deep hole to fill now that he is gone but we are all grateful that we had time with this wonderful soul.
