First wild Scarlet Macaw chick in Bosque Escondido, Costa Rica

We’re thrilled to announce the first confirmed Scarlet Macaw chick in Bosque Escondido!

A pair of reintroduced macaws are first-time nesting in a dead palm trunk, and this is the first known chick hatched in this population. This is a huge milestone for this wildlife reintroduction effort and a testament to the success of this conservation work.

Congratulations to the RESCATE wildlife Center s’ team and the Scarlet Macaw parents! .

BIG thanks to Don Miguel Gonzáles (manager at Bosque Escondido) for such an extraordinary discovery.
