He graduated with an MSc in Zoology from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Budapest, Hungary. He has participated in several field research projects studying parrots and macaws in Argentina, Mexico, Bolivia, and Peru. He came to be part of our volunteer assistants team back in 2008 and then came back to Tambopata as our field leader in 2009. Since 2010, as part of his Ph.D. research at the Fenner School of Environment and Society at the Australian National University, George studied the population genetics of large macaws in the Tambopata-Candamo region in Peru. Currently, he works for the BBC(British Broadcasting Corporation) as a Researcher for the Natural History Unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Check George&#8217;s website here: <a
