The Equine Orthopedics Service team serves patients in need of care for bone, joint, and musculoskeletal issues. The service is led by clinical faculty, residents, and veterinary technicians dedicated to providing the best medicine and surgical expertise for equine patients. Clinicians in the service have developed innovative tools and techniques for treating orthopedic issues in large animals that historically would have been fatal for patients. From a new interlocking nail system to groundbreaking research in implant design, these innovations have already saved many lives at the LATH.
