Ophthalmology

Supporting both large and small animals
The Ophthalmology Service strives to alleviate ocular discomfort and improve vision in animals by implementing new and innovative strategies in medicine and surgery. Board-certified clinicians provide advanced diagnostics as well as routine, complex, and emergency medical and surgical care to animals with ocular disorders. With cutting-edge equipment and clinically-based research, the service’s team of faculty, residents, interns, and technicians strives to provide the best eye care for small and large patients. On a case by case basis, exotics may be seen, but only if we have the proper support staff to safely handle those animals.

Clinical Trials

Clinical trials are studies that evaluate how effective a new treatment is by comparing it to standard practice in animals with disease. These trials are often designed from preliminary data showing that the new treatment may be effective. Browse our current trials.
