The Animal Genetics Laboratory offers DNA testing used for identification, parentage verification, and determination of specific homozygous/heterozygous gene mutations in animals. The analysis provides useful information for diseases, coat colors, as well as physical traits. Currently, the lab provides routine services for testing horses, cattle, and donkeys.

The Center for Educational Technologies (CET) specializes in developing education programs, trainings, and outreach activities which complement technical experts’ research activities, including educational program and resource development, training, virtual learning platforms, outreach program development, and continuing education.

The Educational Memorial Program at the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences (VMBS) offers you a very special way to honor your deceased pet. This veterinary program is similar to human programs that allow individuals to will their bodies to medical education after they pass.

The Molecular Cytogenetics Laboratory at Texas A&M University performs a wide range of cytogenetic, molecular cytogenetic, and DNA-based testing for clinical and research facilities, private companies, veterinarians, breeders, and animal owners. Services include karyotyping, fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH), and genotyping.
