Application Due Dates Information

  1. Student Applications should be submitted at least 2 months before intended travel in order to be reviewed at the quarterly International Program Advisory Committee IPAC) Meeting.  If the applications are submitted closer than 2 months to your departure date, the committee will not review the applications.
  2. Faculty Applications should be submitted at least 2 months before intended travel in order to be review at the next quarterly International Program Advisory Committee Meeting.
  3. If your application is approved but for some reason you cannot go on the trip, there is no penalty.  Just contact the IPAC chair and inform that you are not going.
  4. International Program Advisory Committee Meetings are held in:
    • September
    • December
    • March
    • June

CVM Student Self Directed Study Abroad Scholarship Application

Purpose: Texas A&M University and the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences are committed to helping students access career enhancing opportunities in an international setting. To this end, students may apply for $1000 scholarships to help offset travel expenses.

  • The application deadline will remain open until all scholarships have been awarded.

In order to qualify and receive this scholarship, the following stipulations apply:

  • Students must register through the University Study Abroad office.
  • Students must meet with a TAMU CVM faculty mentor to help you with your international plans. If you need help finding a faculty mentor, a list of available faculty mentors and their areas of interest on the CVM International Programs website.
  • Scholarships are for travel for international work or study opportunities in veterinary medicine or related biomedical sciences but NOT to attend international conferences.
  • The scholarships are NOT for existing faculty led study abroad courses.

CVMBS Faculty International Travel Application for Funds to Support New International Program Development

Purpose: Limited competitive awards (4) up to $3750 are available for international travel to support new programs that will enhance the College of Veterinary Medicine's international opportunities through research collaboration, study abroad, or international development.

  • The application deadline will remain open until all scholarships have been awarded.

In order to qualify and receive this funds, the following stipulations apply:

  • Funds are not for travel to attend international conferences.
  • The scholarships are NOT for existing faculty led study abroad courses.
