CVM Staff Recognized at Annual Awards Ceremony

Thirteen staff members received awards for their performance and accomplishments during the 2019 Staff Awards Ceremony on July 30. Many staff members also received longevity awards for up to 25 years of service at the CVM.

Sadie, a German Shepherd who developed pannus in 2017, wears Doggles when outside to protect her eyes from the sun. She was brought to the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital's ophthalmology service for treatment and now has much clearer vision.

Linda Holsey, Michelle's mother-in-law, endowed the Michelle Lynn Holsey Scholarship to honor Michelle's generosity and her battle against breast cancer. This scholarship will provide annual awards to aspiring medical students in the biomedical sciences program.

4-H Members Learn about Large Animal Medicine at VMTH

About 30 4-H members, all children of professionals attending the 2019 AgriLife Beef Cattle Short Course, visited the Large Animal Hospital to learn about equine and food animal medicine from CVM faculty members and veterinary students.
