Morgan Scott, professor in the Department of Veterinary Pathobiology at the CVM, based on their research on antimicrobial resistance. | | Texas A&M Faculty and Researchers Develop Chagas Case Study Learning Module A case study from the CVM was one of only 15 selected for web publication by the American Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges’ and the Association for Prevention Teaching and Research’s joint One Health Interprofessional Education Initiative. | | | | Dickson Varner Bartlett Award Dr. Dickson Varner, professor and Pin Oak Stud Chair of Stallion Reproductive Studies in the Department of Large Animal Clinical Sciences at the CVM, has been awarded the David E. Bartlett Lifetime Achievement Award from the Society for Theriogenology. | | Texas A&M Foundation President Tyson Voelkel visits the CVM Tyson Voelkel met with the CVM Executive Committee on Feb. 9. Then, Voelkel and Dr. Eleanor M. Green met for lunch at Miramont Country Club. | | | | BIMS Students Create Anatomy Sketches Working as a group, BIMS students enrolled in honors anatomy created three large pencil drawings of the human head and muscles of facial expression. The sketches are currently hanging in the hallway by the BIMS offices. | | Staff Appreciation Week Feb. 29 to March 4 marks Staff Appreciation Week at Texas A&M University. Throughout the university, each department will celebrate its staff in a unique way. The university will also hold a number of events during this week to recognize staff. | | | | Show Your Colors On Feb. 27, Broad Spectrum hosted their annual Show Your Colors event. See Spot Run is a fundraising event held annually by the Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association. | | | | Small Animal Hospital Opens Remodeled Lobby On Monday, Feb. 8, the CVM opened its doors to a newly remodeled front lobby at the Small Animal Hospital.
