Keely Buchanan

I was born and predominately raised in Texas. I got to spend about 4 years of my early childhood living in Norway due to my father’s job. When we moved back to Texas, we lived in West Columbia, TX, and I graduated from Columbia High School in 2000. I attended Texas Tech University for 5 years and then took a break from school to just work. I moved to Bryan/College Station, TX, in 2005, and I made Bryan, TX, my permanent home in 2012. I went back to finish my degree in 2014 at Sam Houston State University and graduated from there in fall of 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a minor in Mass Communications. I have 2 cats (Sargent and Pepper) and a dog (Sunni). I love spending time with my animals and family, especially my 3 nieces, whenever possible. I enjoy reading, music, television, film, theatre, musicals, photography, etc. and sleep. My favorite genre to read and watch is science-fiction/fantasy, and I can discuss various books, television, and film franchises for hours, especially anything Disney or sci-fi. I am looking forward to working for Texas A&M for many years to come.
