Serum Assays

• Trypsin-Like Immunoreactivity (TLI)
  • For exocrine pancreatic function testing (i.e to diagnose EPI) in dogs and cats (species-specific)
• Cobalamin (Vitamin B12) and Folate
  • Test of small intestinal function (not species-specific)
• Pancreatic Lipase Immunoreactivity (PLI)
  • Test for diagnosis of pancreatitis in dogs and cats (species-specific). Additional information regarding the various lipase assays
• Serum Bile Acids
  • Test for hepatic function – dogs, cats, and other species
• Thyroid hormones and Cortisols
  • Total T4, TSH, Free T4, cortisols
• Canine C-reactive Protein
  • Test for systemic inflammation – dogs only
• MMA – Methylmalonic Acid
  • Marker for cobalamin deficiency on a cellular level

  • Immunoassay for measurement of serum gastrin concentration

    • *Please note* We have not developed a reference interval on feline patients for Cardiac Troponin I. This assay is not considered to be species specific. However, feline or non-canine species reports will not include reference intervals or interpretations.

Fecal Assays

• Fecal alpha 1 – Proteinase Inhibitor assay
• Enteropathogen Panel- for canine and feline- both include PCR and IFA testing
  • Canine panel includes PCR testing for net F toxin gene-C. perfringens, C. difficile, Campylobacter jejuni, canine parvovirus, Salmonella on enrichment broth, and IFA testing for Giardia and Cryptosporidium
  • Feline panel includes includes PCR testing for net F toxin gene-C. perfringens, C. difficile, Campylobacter jejuni, feline panleukopenia virus (FPV), Salmonella on enrichment broth, Tritrichomonas foetus, and IFA testing for Giardia and Cryptosporidium
