Group shot of ambassadors

Thank you for your interest in touring the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences (CVM). Tour guides are current veterinary and biomedical sciences students, known as ambassadors, who are excited to show you our college.

Tours are designed for teenagers and adults. The majority of the tour is of clinical areas within the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, so for the safety of both our visitors and our patients, all visitors must be at least 13 years old and must not touch or pet the animals. Like patients in a human hospital, theses animals are here because they need medical attention. For families with children under the age of 13, we are happy to offer an abbreviated tour of the academic areas of the college and the opportunity to talk to a current student about veterinary school. We also host an annual Open House event each spring that provides tours and interactive activities for all ages.

The tour is not an appropriate field trip for groups of children younger than high school age. Teachers and others who would like to arrange an animal-themed presentation for their younger students should contact our PEER Program.

Tours can be scheduled Monday through Friday at 12:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. and on Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. They generally last about an hour, although this can vary widely depending on your group, the number of questions you have, and what is going on in the hospital during your visit.

If you have any questions about the tours, or if you need help arranging your visit, please e-mail tours@cvm.tamu.edu. We hope to see you soon!
