Mrs. Angela Degelman came to Texas from Columbus, Kansas circa 1993 when married life brought her to her husband’s former home of College Station. She immediately immersed herself in Aggie Life and joined the staff of Texas A&M University working as a staff assistant in the Department of Human Anatomy.

In 1996, she began working as an Administrative Assistant in the Dean’s Office at the College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences and was encouraged by faculty to complete her education. Now this first-generation college student, having completed an associate degree in Business Administration and Management at Blinn College in 2002, and most recently completed her BS degree in Sociology right here at Texas A&M University – August, 2023 – Whoop!

After a 16-year stint as a Program Coordinator at the Mays Business School, she returned to her VMBS home in December 2021 to serve as the Recruitment & Admissions Coordinator for Graduate Programs. Angie is seasoned in higher education administration, student affairs, grant writing, communications and website creation and maintenance and has always had an inclination in mentoring students for educational and career success.

She and her husband Alan have raised one Aggie, Alexander – who recently received his doctorate from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio and one Blinn Buccaneer, Austyn, who is also a published author.  Angie and her husband Alan live on 9 acres in Kurten, Texas along with a plethora of domesticated pets.

In her spare time, she likes to read as well as write and has plans to be a published author herself one day.
