Alumni Spotlight
In the Spring of 2019, the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences (CVMBS) recognized six alumni for their commitment, service, and leadership in the veterinary and biomedical sciences fields, as well as to their communities.
The annual Outstanding Alumni Reception & Dinner was held on Friday, April 26, 2019, at the Doug Pitcock ’49 Texas A&M Hotel & Conference Center and honored 2019 Outstanding Alumni Award winners Dr. Anmarie Macfarland ’90, Dr. Sydney Moise ’77, Dr. D. Phillip Sponenberg ’76, Dr. Peggy Tinkey ’83, and LTC Nicole Thompson Stoneburg ‘96, as well as 2019 Rising Star Award winner Dr. Cassandra Tansey ’15 (in absentia).
“These alumni are ambassadors for the CVMBS, and we are proud of their commitment to service, education, and leadership,” said Dr. Eleanor M. Green, the former Carl B. King Dean of Veterinary Medicine. “We are honored and privileged to recognize our former students and the impact of their work on our college, our state, our nation, and the world.”
