Short Biography

My professional career began with my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) graduation from the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) in 1976, and extended to over thirty years of service as a mixed animal veterinarian in rural central Texas. In 2008, I accepted an invitation to join the faculty at the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences (VMBS) in the Department of Large Animal Clinic Sciences (VLCS). I'm indebted to Dr. Bill Moyer, former VLCS department head, who guided my transition from private practice to academia. Following a decade of focus on clinical teaching, I accepted an invitation to join the Professional Programs Office (PPO) in the VMBS as Director of Recruitment & Student Services, where I currently serve. My joy includes mentoring professional students and ultimately helping to prepare the next generation of our veterinary colleagues.
