Alyssa

Alyssa is a member of the veterinary class of 2026. She graduated with her BS in wildlife and fisheries sciences in 2015 from Texas A&M University and her MS in Education in 2019 from Johns Hopkins University. She worked as a zookeeper at the local zoo in her hometown before transitioning to teaching middle school science and serving as an academic advisor in preparation for veterinary school.

After graduation, she hopes to practice conservation medicine or specialize in animal behavior before eventually returning to academia.

Alyssa enjoys reading and participating in group exercise classes in her free time. She also can be found watching movies or going on walks with her husband and sassy chow-chow, Murphy.
