Keelin

Keelin is a class of 2026 zoology major from Richmond, Texas. She has been interested in veterinary medicine her entire life, and has been working in vet clinics since she was in high school. She is interested in zoo and wildlife medicine, and her favorite animal is a sea turtle! Keelin loves to play any sport she can, but her favorites are soccer, dance, volleyball, and figure skating! She also loves baking and cooking and is always looking for new foods to try!

Maria

Maria S.

Maria is a BIMS undergraduate and member of the class of 2026. She is from Venezuela, where she grew up watching her dad work in his veterinary clinic. She moved here to Texas a few years ago to have the best opportunities in education. Her love for animals is what sparked her passion for veterinary medicine.

Maria has had the honor to work under great veterinarians in small animal clinics where she has experienced procedures and surgeries. Currently, she is highly interested in marine animals and the exotics branch of veterinary medicine. In her spare time, Maria loves to paint, hang out with her friends and family, cuddle with her pets, and bake desserts.

Amanda

Amanda is a DVM candidate of the class of 2027. She is also a proud member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 2012 with a degree in animal science and business administration. Amanda is originally from Mission, TX, but has been living in the Bryan/College Station area for 10 years where she has served as a practice manager at a local small animal hospital. She has a strong interest in small animal emergency medicine and food/fiber animal medicine. After graduation, Amanda plans on becoming a practice partner and creating a non-profit to aid low income families with funding their 4H/FFA projects. When she is not at school, she enjoys the outdoors and traveling with my husband, children, and pets. 

Grace

Grace is a veterinary student in the class of 2027. She went to Texas A&M for her undergrad and majored in animal science with an Equine Science Certificate. She is from Houston, Texas, and cannot wait to pursue her passion for veterinary medicine. She has a soft spot for horses and would love to open a general mixed practice in the future.

Claire

Claire is a class of 2027 veterinary student at Texas A&M University. She grew up in Plano, Texas before attending Texas A&M University, where she graduated with a B.S. in biomedical sciences, a minor in wildlife and fisheries sciences, and a certificate in biomedical research in May 2023. Claire spent her undergrad rotating between a mixed small animal/exotic private practice, wildlife rehabilitation center, and the anesthesia department of Texas A&M’s Small Animal Teaching Hospital before focusing on a passion for wildlife medicine through a month-long internship in the Limpopo region of South Africa. After graduating, she hopes to pursue a career in global veterinary medicine and conservation while practicing as a wildlife veterinarian. Outside of school, Claire enjoys testing out new baking recipes, reading, seeking out local live music, and spending time with her dog, Davy Crockett.

Alexandra

Alexandra is a member of the veterinary class of 2027. She was born and raised in Germantown, Maryland right outside of Washington, D.C., and graduated from Texas A&M in 2023 with an honors degree in animal science, a minor in business, and a certificate in equine science. She worked in the surgery ward of the Texas A&M Large Animal Hospital for two years, building her passion for equine medicine. In the spring of 2022, she participated in a six-month internship at an equine specialty clinic working on thoroughbred racehorses, including Justify and American Pharaoh. After graduating, Alexandra hopes to practice in equine sports and neonatal medicine and surgery, with large animal exotics as a point of interest. In her free time, she loves to travel, cook, ride horseback, play sports, read, and go on walks with her puppy, Theodore.

Hannah

Hannah headshot

Hannah is a veterinary student in the class of 2026 from Plano, Texas. She attended Texas A&M for her undergraduate degree in biomedical sciences. She is interested in being a small animal general practitioner mixed with some exotics. Most of her animal and veterinary experiences have been with small animals, but she has also gotten wildlife experience through a study abroad to South Africa, being a summer intern at her local zoo, and assisting in a research study at the Texas A&M Schubot Avian Health Center. During undergrad, she also loved volunteering with equine therapy programs. In her free time, she likes to hike, kayak, try new restaurants, watch movies, and paint.

Matthew

Matthew is an animal science major in the Class of 2026 from Dallas, Texas. During the summer of 2023, he worked at local small animal and equine clinics. He also has interned at major stock shows in Dallas as an agriculture educator. His current career goal is to become a practicing small animal veterinarian and one day establish his own clinic. He enjoys running, being outdoors, and hanging out with friends and family. Outside of the classroom, he is involved in the Pre-Veterinary Society and Saddle and Sirloin. 

Daisy

Daisy

Daisy is a Biology major at Texas A&M University graduating class of 2025. She is from Fort Worth, Texas where she worked in local small animal clinics and on a horse ranch. She currently volunteers at local shelters, participates in wildlife conservation research, and works in a local small animal clinic. She is hoping to further her education by attending Texas A&M University’s School of Veterinary Medicine after graduation.

In her free time, Daisy likes to watch movies, Crossfit at her local gym, and play with her pet cat Suki.

William

William is a class of 2026 undergraduate student from New Braunfels, Texas, dual majoring in animal science and biomedical sciences. His veterinary experience is mostly from a local small animal clinic in New Braunfels. He has also spent time working alongside veterinarians at animal shelters to aid in neuters, spays, and check-ups. He is interested in attending the Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences for his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and then specializing in exotic veterinary medicine and pursuing a career in animal conservation. Outside of class, he is a service mentor for a freshman leadership organization, a fish camp counselor, and a member of the pre-vet society.
