Anna

Anna is a member of the veterinary medicine class of 2028. She was born and raised in Upstate NY in the city of Troy. She graduated in 2019 from Paul Smith’s College, which is located right outside of Saranac Lake, NY, with a degree in Fisheries and Wildlife Sciences.
After graduating she rehabilitated marine mammals in Mystic, CT. In 2020 she moved to South Texas where she completed a thesis researching ocelot and other wildlife movement across highways and graduated with a master’s degree in biology from University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Following her love of wildlife she worked at a zoo in Brownsville, TX where she helped with wildlife rehabilitation and treatment of zoo animals. While in South Texas she also volunteered to help with sea turtle nesting patrols, surgery, and with Texas tortoise research. After graduating with her master’s, she worked as a veterinary technician in an animal shelter performing treatments and assisting with surgeries.
In her free time, Anna enjoys running, embroidering, camping, and hiking with her dog, Theodore. After graduating, she hopes to work with zoo animals, be a surgeon, and work with wildlife.
