“We’re delighted to welcome Mrs. Agan,” said Dr. Barbara Gastel, who directs the STJR program. “Even in her first two weeks she has come up with new ideas for serving our students.”

Mrs. Agan has a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Texas A&M. Most recently, she was senior administrative coordinator for the biomedical sciences undergraduate program. She also has been a senior administrative coordinator at Johns Hopkins University. She already is familiar with STJR, as her husband, Justin Agan, is nearing completion of the program.

Mrs. Agan’s initial work for STJR will include publicizing the program more, updating the internship list online, and helping with various administrative tasks. Over time, she will be increasingly involved in admissions and advising for the program. STJR looks forward to her helping applicants, current and former students, and faculty.
