Anisha

Anisha is a Class of 2027 Graduate Student for the Biomedical Sciences Master’s program. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and has moved multiple times, including to India. In 2020, she moved to Texas and finally settled in Crandall, Texas, with her family.

Her interest in veterinary medicine was sparked in high school when she worked with stray dogs in India. Since then, it increased after working with exotic animals through volunteering. She now volunteers at the local animal shelter to help neonatal kittens and has had the opportunity to gain experience in small and large animal clinics. She also has an interest in research and believes she can help expand it as a veterinarian. Through her graduate program, she hopes to prepare and attend the VMBS for her DVM and then specialize in mixed animal or shelter medicine.

Outside of class, she enjoys painting, writing poetry, swimming, traveling and learning history of various sorts.
