B.1.1.7 UK Variant of Concern found in pets of Brazos Valley
Our ongoing CDC-funded household transmission study of SARS-CoV-2 has found the emerging B.1.1.7 variant in a dog + cat from the same household; this finding is not unexpected given the emergence of this variant in humans. This finding emphasizes the importance of a One Health approach in the pandemic response.
