Joel White, a student worker in the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital pharmacy, was named the Texas A&M Student Employee of the Year. He received this honor at Texas A&M Scholarships and Financial Aid’s 18th annual Student Employee of the Year Ceremony on April 13. In addition, White received the Class of 1956 Employee Endowed Scholarship, a scholarship worth $3,000.

Four other student workers from the CVM were nominated for the Student Employee of the Year Award: Jacob Hiney in CVM Information Technology, Emily McCann in the Department of Veterinary Physiology and Pharmacology, and Callie Rainosek in CVM Communications. A total of 40 students from Texas A&M were nominated, with 22 on-campus nominees and 18 off-campus nominees.

The Student Employee of the Year Award was established in 1999 by the National Student Employment Association to encourage colleges and universities to honor outstanding student employees.
