Clinical Associate Professor
in Small Animal & Comparative Gastroenterology
I completed my Small Animal Internal Medicine residency and PhD in Comparative Biomedical Sciences at North Carolina State University and earned board certification and my PhD in 2010 and 2013, respectively. Before coming to Texas A&M University (TAMU) as a Clinical Associate Professor, I was on faculty at the University of Tennessee, College of Veterinary Medicine and consulted for the TAMU Gastrointestinal Laboratory. I also hold positions as a Clinical Veterinary Instructor at North Carolina State University, Adjunct Professor at the University of Tennessee, and consulting veterinarian for the Dog Aging Project funded by the National Institute on Aging. My research program is focused on small animal nutrition and gastroenterology. I have published over 60 peer-review manuscripts and received the Zoetis award for Excellence in Veterinary Research in 2018.
