Dr. Linda Toresson

Linda graduated from the Swedish University of Agricultural Science in 1995,  became a Swedish Specialist in diseases of dogs and cats in 2002 and a Swedish Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine in 2007. She has combined clinical practice, focusing on gastroenterology, at Evidensia Specialist Animal hospital in Helsingborg, Sweden with research throughout most of her career. In 2018, Linda defended her PhD in gastroenterology at Helsinki University on oral cobalamin supplementation in dogs with chronic enteropathies. Linda is especially interested in the intestinal microbiome and metabolome, fecal microbiota transplantation, bile acid diarrhea, cobalamin deficiency and the link between emotional stability and chronic enteropathies. Linda joined the GI lab in 2024, and is currently busy analyzing all the data from a prospective study on fecal microbiota transplantation in dogs with chronic enteropathy that started in 2021.

In her spare time, Linda loves hiking and traveling, good food and wine, and spending time with family and friends. She is also a frequent visitor at the gym.
