The last Amazon parrot chick has fledged at Bosque Escondido, Costa Rica

Bittersweet news! The last Yellow-naped Amazon parrot chick from the nest we’ve been monitoring this past month has finally fledged! This brood had five chicks of very different ages, so it took almost a month for all of them to be ready to leave the nest. These chicks are the offspring of two reintroduced parrots, marking another big milestone in the amazing work Rescate Wildlife Rescue Center- zoave is doing to help this species recover in the wild,

Congrats to the entire RESCATE team for their dedication and hard work!

This is the last chick (chick #5) of the nest box “PICKLES” in her last health check up, the day before it fledge.
