VMBS Faculty Awards

Bridges Teaching & Service Award – recognizes faculty or staff members who have demonstrated outstanding teaching and/or exemplary service to the college.

John H. Milliff 1928 Memorial Award for Teaching – recognizes a faculty member in honor of Dr. Milliff’s compassion, scholarly abilities, and characteristics exhibited during his tenure as a professor.

Juan Carlos Robles Emanuelli Teaching Award – honors an early-career faculty for their outstanding teaching skills, commendable use of technology, and passion for student-centered learning.

Outstanding Graduate Student/Postdoctoral Fellow Mentor Award – honors a faculty member who serves as an outstanding mentor to graduate students and/or postdocs.

Outstanding Research Leader Award – honors a faculty member with an exceptional record of extramural funding and publications within their field.

Outstanding Scientific Achievement Award – honors faculty members for their outstanding scientific achievements such as a notable publication or extramural grant or patent this past year.

Outstanding Young Faculty Research Award – honors a tenure-track assistant professor who has joined the college within the past three years and has a proven record of excellence in research, publications, and funding.

Richard H. Davis Teaching Award – honors a faculty member who exhibits enthusiasm, superior teaching skills, and a supportive learning environment.

TVMA – Research Award – honors and recognizes exceptional faculty member for their outstanding achievements in veterinary medical research.

TMVA – Teaching Award – honors and recognizes a faculty member who has made significant contributions to teaching.

VMTH Clinical Service Award – recognize faculty members who demonstrate excellent clinical service, compassion for patients, and good communication with colleagues, referring veterinarians, and staff.

Zoetis Veterinary Research Award – honors a faculty member who has made notable contributions to veterinary research.

Zoetis Distinguished Veterinary Teaching Award – recognizes an educator who demonstrates character, leadership, and outstanding teaching skills.
