I joined the GI Lab as an Associate Research Scientist in February of 2023 as an Associate Research Scientist.

A Kansas native, I received my BS in Chemistry with an emphasis in Biochemistry from Fort Hays State University in 2015. After which, I attended Northern Illinois University where I received my PhD in Chemistry in 2021 where my research endeavors were the biochemical, bioanalytical, and biophysical aspects of early-stage drug discovery.

Upon finishing my PhD work, I served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Saint Louis University in early 2021 through early 2022 as part of the Department of Chemistry studying the structure-function relationship and catalytic mechanism of bacterial cytochrome P450s that perform alkane hydroxylation. In April 2022, I moved to the Bryan-College Station area and worked as an Associate Scientist in the biotechnology/pharmaceuticals industry through the end of 2022.

Outside of lab, I enjoy a number of things including the gym and playing softball, trying new restaurants and breweries in the area, and spending time outdoors.
