Dr. Gal received his DVM degree from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel on 2001. After several years in private practice, Dr. Gal completed a rotating Small Animal Internship in the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel on 2005. Dr. Gal started Small Animal Internal Medicine (SAIM) and Anatomical Pathology residencies at the University of Illinois on 2006 and 2009, respectively, and following completion of his residencies training Dr. Gal became a board-certified diplomate of both the ACVIM (SAIM) and ACVP (AP) in 2009 and 2012, respectively. After the completion of his PhD in 2014 at the University of Illinois, Dr. Gal accepted a faculty position in SAIM at Massey University, New Zealand, in January 2015 and returned to the University of Illinois as a Tenure-Track SAIM Faculty in December 2018.
