Recently reintroduced Scarlet Macaws spotted thriving in the wild

Exciting updates from Bosque Escondido! This past week, our team was super busy monitoring all nine of the recently released Scarlet Macaws, observing them in different locations and times throughout the week. Some have been seen visiting the supplemental feeding stations, while others have already taken flight alongside previously released macaws! One of them has already been spotted foraging on wild food—a promising sign of their adaptation. 🙌

Congratulations to RESCATE Wildlife Rescue Center for their conservation vision and decades of hard work in recovering the Scarlet Macaw population in the Nicoya Peninsula. They’ve truly made a difference in wildlife conservation. A job well done!

Huge thanks to our dedicated team for their hard work.

Stay tuned for more updates!
