Recently released Yellow-naped Amazon parrot spotted eating wild foods in Bosque Escondido, Costa Rica
Exciting update from the field. The Yellow-nape Amazon parrot #53, released last November, has been thriving in the wild despite the unusual rainy conditions during its release.
A few days ago, we spotted this parrot happily munching on flowers of Huevos de Caballo (Tabernaemontana donnell-smithii), demonstrating its adaptation and success in learning how to be a wild parrot once again.

Thanks to Rescate Wildlife Rescue Center for leading conservation efforts to ensure the long-term survival of these incredible birds!
