For DVM AdmissionThe VMBS views the selection of students admitted to the DVM Professional Program as a priority and a responsibility to Texas A&M University and to the veterinary medical profession. VMBS faculty members make up the Selections Committee.
Our curriculum is a four-year program with three years of classroom and laboratory instruction and a final year of clinical rotations in the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital (VMTH).

THE APPLICATION DEADLINE IS
MONDAY, AUG. 31, 2026, AT 11:59 p.m. CDT.**
**It is recommended that applicants use a soft deadline of early July where able.
GPA and experience hours are calculated at the time of submission.
Application Process
All applicants must apply online through the Texas Medical and Dental Schools Application Service (TMDSAS) and submit the supplemental application through the VMBS website. Review the Application Deadlines page for due dates.
1. Submit TMDSAS application and applicant evaluation forms.
2. Navigate to the VMBS Admissions Dashboard.
- Log in or create an account if you haven’t already.*
- *If you are reapplying, please do not create another account and instead use your previous login credentials.
- Link your TMDAS User ID to your account.
3. Submit supplemental application and fee.*
*The supplemental application fee is non-refundable.
- All applicants must submit the supplemental application and non-refundable fee* by the same deadline as the TMDSAS application.
*Note: We have received quite a few questions about the timing of our supplemental application submission. You should submit your supplemental application without a prior invitation to do so; fill it out as a required part of your application submission that is due by the deadline. For Entry Year (EY) 2027, the deadline is, Monday, Aug. 31, 2026, before 11:59 p.m. CDT. - The fee is $75* and must be paid at the time of submission.
*The supplemental application fee is non-refundable. - Enter your TMDSAS number when requested to match the payment to the supplemental application.
- While supplemental application fees are due by Monday, Aug. 31, 2026, before 11:59 p.m. CDT, they may take up to two weeks to clear and show on your dashboard.
- Save your receipt as proof of meeting the payment deadline.
- An applicant has met the supplemental application payment deadline as long as $75 is submitted and acknowledged in Flywire with a receipt timestamped before the admission cycle deadline.
- Applicants should receive an email with a receipt for payment and should see the payment debited from their method of payment.
- Applicants should also be aware that payment processing in Flywire can take time and should not be submitted extremely close to the deadline.
4. Complete the Casper test at Acuity Insights Assessments.
- Learn more about the Casper test.
- Note: Neither Snapshot nor Duet are required.
- The deadline to complete the Casper test (the last test date for this cycle) is Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2026.
Applicants should take an early instance of this assessment whenever possible, so as not to miss the deadline.
6. Continue to review your VMBS Admissions Dashboard, accessible by beginning your supplemental application.
7. Submit official transcripts WHEN REQUESTED by TMDSAS and the VMBS.
