Important Dates
Entry Year 2027
Friday, May 1, 2026
- Texas Medical & Dental Schools Application Service (TMDSAS) application opens for Entry Year 2027 (EY 2027).
- The applicant may begin their VMBS supplemental application as soon as they have a TMDSAS ID number, which is provided when a TMDSAS application has been initiated.
- Beginning the supplemental application will initiate applicant access to their individual VMBS dashboard.
- Re-applicants should not create a new profile and use the same credentials as in the previous application.
- It is recommended that new applicants use an email that will be accessible after graduation from their undergraduate institution.
- All applicants should double-check their email and TMDSAS number for typos.
- The $75 non-refundable supplemental application fee is paid through Flywire.
- Applicants may enter evaluator names in the TMDSAS application (Instructions).
- One evaluation must be completed by a veterinarian.
- All evaluations must be completed by individuals other than family members.
- Applicants may begin taking the Casper Assessment from Acuity Insights.

Friday, Aug. 14, 2026
- Applicants must have completed or be enrolled in the following by the application deadline (if they are enrolled, then they must be completed by December 2026 with a grade of “C” or better):
- Organic Chemistry I with lab,
- Physics I with lab, and
- Biochemistry.
Thursday, Aug. 20, 2026
- Last day to register for a Casper Assessment for EY 2027 cycle.
Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2026
- Last day to complete the Casper Assessment for EY 2027 cycle.
FINAL APPLICATION DEADLINE: Monday, Aug. 31, 2026, at 11:59 CDT**
**Texas A&M offices close at 5 p.m. Questions will not be resolved if submitted too close to this time.
- TMDSAS application and fees must be received before Monday, Aug. 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. CDT.
- Three evaluations, including at least one from a veterinarian, must be received by TMDSAS before Monday, Aug. 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. CDT.
- Texas A&M DVM supplemental application and fee* must be received before Monday, Aug. 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. CDT. (*Supplemental application fee is non-refundable.)
- While the supplemental application fees* must be submitted before Monday, Aug. 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. CDT, the fees may take up to two weeks to clear and show on your dashboard. (*Supplemental application fee is non-refundable.)
- Please save your receipt as proof of meeting the payment deadline.
- An applicant has met the supplemental application payment deadline as long as $75* is submitted and acknowledged in Flywire with a receipt time-stamped before the admissions cycle deadline. (*Supplemental application fee is non-refundable.)
November 2026
- Applicant status updates will be provided by email. Keep email addresses up-to-date and add dvmadmissionsnotification@tamu.edu to your safe sender list.

December 2026
- TBD: Virtual Multiple Mini Interviews (MMIs) will occur through Kira Talent platform.
January 2027
- January 4, 2027: Fall grades are due, as well as proof of enrollment in any remaining prerequisite coursework.*
- *OCHEM 1 + lab, Physics + lab, and Biochemistry must be completed by December 2026.
Entry Year 2028
May 2027
- May 1, 2027 — Entry Year 2028 applications open.
August 2027
- August 31, 2027 — Entry Year 2028 applications due.
Notes
- TMDSAS help: Visit tmdsas.com and click on “Get Support.”
- TMDSAS provides After Submitting and Time Sensitive Requirements information (for example, the status of evaluations, receipt of payment, etc.).
- Transcripts should not be submitted to TMDSAS until they are requested by TMDSAS.
- The Casper Assessment from Acuity Insights must be taken each year. (Neither Snapshot or Duet are required.)
- The VMBS supplemental application fee is $75* and and must be paid as soon as the supplemental application is submitted from your VMBS Admissions Dashboard. (*Supplemental application fee is non-refundable.)
- Please enter your TMDSAS number when requested to match the payment to the supplemental application and keep a copy of your receipt.
- Failure to have evaluations to TMDSAS by Monday, Aug. 31, 2026, before 11:59 p.m. CDT will disqualify your application to the Texas A&M DVM Professional Program.
- One letter of evaluation must be from a veterinarian.
- Evaluations from family members are NOT acceptable.

- TMDSAS applications can take four to six weeks to process and be transmitted to the Texas A&M VMBS.
- The Texas A&M VMBS dashboard will not update until after we have received and processed a TMDSAS-transmitted application.
- The GRE will not be used for the current admissions process. Please visit our website for any updates to this requirement.
- The VMBS’ DVM Professional Program office is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding university holidays.
