BIMS undergraduate advisors are here to help you navigate your academic experience in the Biomedical Science program. They can help you apply for the program, choose courses, and answer questions about the program.
The BIMS Advising Office is open for walk-ins and appointments Monday through Friday from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 1:30-4:30 p.m. We will be closed on Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. for our weekly staff meeting. Our Mission
The Biomedical Sciences Advising Office seeks to prepare, empower, and assist students throughout their educational journey through providing personalized guidance and support. The advising office remains dedicated to fostering academic excellence and student growth through tailored advice, utilization of resources, a commitment to holistic development, and student empowerment. Our goal is to equip students with the tools and traits needed to thrive in the various post-graduate tracks that encompass Biomedical Sciences, whether in professional school, graduate school, the military, or industry.
Advising Announcements
Graduation is on May 8 at 9 a.m. CST and will be located at Reed Arena. Make sure you apply for graduation by April 29!! If you miss this deadline, you will have to apply for summer graduation.
Waitlist Information
The BIMS Advising Office keeps a waitlist for any courses within our department. These include any courses with a BIMS, VTPP, VTPB, or VIBS prefix. You can find the waitlist by following the link below. Please reach out to a BIMS advisor if you have any questions at bims@tamu.edu.
Students must complete all common body of knowledge (CBK) courses in order to advance to upper-level courses.
Students who have taken courses at other colleges or universities have special considerations when applying for the BIMS program.
Registering for classes is a process you will complete for yourself during your assigned registration time.
If you need to drop a class after the drop/add period, you will need to complete a Q-Drop.
