Any student who has attended college will be considered a transfer student. Transfer students will go through the same application process through the Texas Common Application as direct applicants.
Transfer students will require at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA and completion of the following courses with at least a B to be considered:
- Biology 1 (BIOL 111 | BIOL 1406 | BIOL 1306 & 1106)
- Biology 2 (BIOL 112 | BIOL 1407 | BIOL 1307 & 1107)
- Chemistry 1 (CHEM 119 | CHEM 1411 | CHEM 1311 & 1111)
- Chemistry 2 (CHEM 120 | CHEM 1411 | CHEM 1312 & 1112)
- Calculus Math, there are a few options for this:
- MATH 142 | MATH 1325
- MATH 151 | MATH 2413
The 3 digit course number (ex: BIOL 111 or CHEM 120) are the Texas A&M course numbers that your class must transfer in as. The 4 digit course number is the Texas Common Course Number equivalent. The ones with 2 numbers (ex: BIOL 1306 & 1106) are for schools that split the lab and lecture into 2 different classes. If you are unsure of what your credit will be accepted as, you can always use A&M’s Transfer Course Equivalency tool to search specifically by your college and your class number.
Those with 45 or more hours completed at the time of application will be given preference in admission. The transfer into Biomedical Sciences (BIMS) must occur before the student reaches 75 completed hours.

Please review the Change of Campus Requirements (PDF) as early as possible to be prepared.
