Minor in Biomedical Sciences

The Biomedical Sciences (BIMS) minor consists of coursework related to and directed toward the understanding of health and disease. Students are encouraged to select courses in consultation with an academic advisor.

Students applying for a BIMS minor must meet with an advisor to declare the minor. Successful completion of the minor will be certified by a degree audit in Howdy during the semester of the student’s graduation. The minor will be recognized after graduation on the student’s transcript, but not on the student’s diploma.

Requirements to apply for a BIMS minor:

  • Must have completed CHEM 119 with a minimum grade of C if taken at Texas A&M or a minimum grade of B if taken at a community college
  • Must be declared before 75 hours are completed
