  • Program Duration:
Our ER Mentorship Program spans six months, however, the duration can be adjusted based on individual comfort levels and learning progress. During the mentorship program, mentees are not required to work overnight shifts.
  • Primary Case Responsibility:
Experience hands-on learning with assigned primary case responsibility under the guidance of experienced clinicians, facilitating a gradual immersion into the fast-paced ER environment.
  • Senior Clinician Direction & Guidance:
Benefit from constant guidance provided by senior clinicians, ensuring a supportive learning experience. You’ll never be on a shift alone, and the expertise of senior clinicians contributes to a comprehensive learning journey.
  • Specialty Rotations:
Expand your skill set with rotations in Internal Medicine, Oncology, Critical Care, Neurology & Neurosurgery, and Surgery & Orthopedics. These rotations expose you to diverse cases, enhancing your understanding of veterinary specialties and how they relate to ER.

  • Professional Development:
The program places a strong emphasis on professional development. In addition to medical and case-based discussions, participants engage in sessions addressing professional topics. These discussions cover aspects such as effective communication, time management, and ethical considerations in emergency medicine.
  • Associate-Level Salary:
Recognizing commitment, our ER Mentorship Program offers an associate-level salary, easing the transition for veterinary college students entering the workforce and pursuing their passion for emergency medicine.
