Our externships are designed to mimic a staff veterinary schedule which is 4 shifts per week. Veterinary externship students can expect a very interactive experience while here. We offer as much “hands on” experience as possible to reinforce your classroom knowledge. This will include (but is not limited to) performing physical examinations, creating diagnostic/treatment plans, microscope work, and assisting/scrubbing in for surgery when the opportunities present themselves. Students will work with each of our staff Veterinarians for at least one surgical shift and one exam room shift to learn a variety of medical approaches and client interaction styles.

We are a small animal hospital dedicated to the care of cats and dogs exclusively looking to expand our team of doctors. We are located in the southwest corner of Montgomery County which is situated just northwest of Houston and a direct neighbor to The Woodlands (home of an ExxonMobil Campus). Our desirable location puts you close to the city with all the comforts of a suburban neighborhood.
Clientele is predominantly college educated working professionals who care deeply for their pets and often treat them as family members. Our clientele makes caring and treating their pets an easier task than most as they often approve the treatment plans we recommend along with the costs associated with those recommendations.
We are very proud of our AAHA certification we have maintained since 2015 and our state of the art facility. As an AAHA facility we provide our associates with state of the art equipment that allows them to diagnose and treat their patients according to the most current industry standards of care. This includes 6 exam rooms, two surgery suites, two treatment areas, dedicated dental suite, and most recently, a rehabilitation center.. Our equipment includes Digital Radiology, Digital Dental Radiology, In House Chemistry, CBC, U/A analyzers, Cutting Edge Class IV and MR4 Activet Laser, Dentalaire dental machines, Shepherd Practice Management software, My Lab ultrasound, Baja warners, IV Fluid pumps, IV Fluid warmers and more.
